As far as epic showdowns go, the one at the end of Endgame that brought the Infinity Saga to a close was pretty amazing. On one glorious day, just about everyone in the Marvel Cinematic Universe was an Avenger and teamed up to bring down Thanos and his armies of Outriders, Chitauri and the Black Order. Once Doctor Strange undusted, he and the sorcerers of the world brought back our heroes to the Avenger compound for the final fight. Strange asks Wong if that’s everyone, but the answer is no, there could’ve been more.

From Marvel Netflix characters to others who’ve been relegated to small parts in films they were featured in, like Lady Sif in Thor movies, there were plenty missing from the fight. Some, like Cosmo the Spacedog, have just been cameos for Guardians of the Galaxy or other respective heroes, but have an interesting comic book heritage that would’ve made their presence mean all that much more. Some, like Nakia from Black Panther, were probably hard to find. As satisfying as that final fight was, we’re always going to wonder how much more we could’ve gotten and who else we could have seen join the ranks. From long shots like Ghost Rider and the Defenders to notable absences like Supergiant, would too much spice spoil the dish or was there no such thing as too much of a good thing? Let’s look at who else could’ve fought it out with Thanos.
