Teachers guide us. They provide their wisdom and knowledge to fledgling young minds. They’re a beacon to any type of student who comes with a spongy mind, ready to absorb new information. Or you know, sometimes they’re just really cute. The best thing about anime teachers is that, usually, the good ones are a combination of both: smart and good looking.

The point is, a lot of different traits can make a great anime teacher. Maybe they’re grouchy, yet incredibly caring toward their students like Shota Aizawa from My Hero Academia. Maybe they can help you with your confidence levels and encourage you to go after what you want like Victor Nikiforov in Yuri!!! On Ice. Maybe they make your heartbeat a little faster like Ririko Kagome in Rosario + Vampire or Shizuka Marikawa in HOTD. And, of course, the perfect anime teachers are the ones that are a mixture of all three like Irina Jelavic in AC or Izumi Curtis in Fullmetal Alchemist.

But the big takeaway is that we all wish we had an anime teacher as our actual teachers in high school. It just would’ve been so much more bearable!
