Everyone knows Stephen King is an absolute master of horror, which is one of the reasons we’re so excited for the sequel to the movie It, Chapter Two. After checking out the new trailer, we can’t help but compare it to the first film, the novel and the 1990s miniseries starring Tim Curry. We’ll give you a breakdown based on what we’ve seen so far and you might be surprised by all of the horror references we spotted. If you’ve ever seen The Shining or The Amityville Horror, you might have noticed some things that looked familiar when Beverly Marsh stopped to visit old Mrs. Kersh. Of course, we’ll also take a creepy glimpse at Pennywise the Dancing Clown and something subtle you might not have noticed when the Losers Club met up at a Chinese restaurant. There’s definitely something weird and terrifying going on in Derry Maine once again and we can’t wait to find out more about it. We’ll also talk about the cascade of red balloons we saw near the bridge and how it foretells one of the most iconic scenes from the novel.
