Pennywise the Dancing Clown is back for It Chapter Two based on the novel by famous horror author Stephen King. While many scary movies depend on CGI and digital enhancements to frighten audiences, you might be surprised by how many of these special effects are purely practical. We’ll talk about this evil entities different forms including the seemingly mundane ones like Mrs. Kersh and Georgie Denbrough. Sure, he has a couple of fake teeth but that unsettling grin is mostly due to the unsettling talent of actor Bill Skarsgard. When researching the role he knew he had to do much more than simply check out old circus performers but you might be surprised where he found the most sources of inspiration. While he was responsible for the bulk of the scares, Jessica Chastain’s most frightening moment while working on the project got pretty messy. A staggering amount of detail and foresight when into everything from costume design to the spider transformation.
