Okay, so we’ve said goodbye to our favorite DBZ protagonist a couple times over the years but it’s rare our hero meets a foe he can’t defeat. That is, until we learned that Future Goku had contracted a serious Heart Virus. It turns out all of those amazing Super Saiyan transformations we love so much actually aren’t the healthiest things in the world. This illness struck our guy down during a battle with Android 19 and presents itself as a totally incurable disease that even the almighty Dragon Balls and Shenron can’t cure. Yikes, that’s when you know you’re in a lot of trouble, alternate timeline or not! We’ll take a look at this often confusing plot device and spend some time exploring the beings from Planet Yardrat. Our hero came a long way since the Frieza saga which made it all the more surprising when this magical Mcguffin came in to take him down. Was this condition a convenient way to drive the plot along or could it mean something more for the future of the franchise?
