Dragon Ball started with the titular magical wishing orbs, and though it eventually shifted its focus towards martial arts and battles with aliens, the Dragon Balls, the dragons they summon and the wishes they grant have still been an integral part of the series. Because of this, we wanted to go through every single wish made and granted in the Dragon Ball franchise, from the Emperor Pilaf Saga all the way up to the Galactic Patrol Prisoner Saga of the Dragon Ball Super Manga.

The very first wish made on the Dragon Balls was for a pair of women’s underwear, a silly request that wouldn’t be the last time the wishing orbs were used for something ridiculous. Of course, they are more often used for reviving people who lost their lives during battles against the series’ biggest villains. This has been the case in the Frieza Saga, the Cell Saga and the Buu saga, though in Super, the Dragon Balls aren’t used for revivals as often. Other significant wishes include learning about Super Saiyan God, Zamasu using the Super Dragon Balls for his Zero Mortals Plan and Moro using the Namekian Dragon Balls to enact his evil plans in the Dragon Ball Super manga.

In order to catalogue every single wish in the series and not have a 30-minute long video, we’ll be condensing quite a few of the wishes, like putting all mass revivals together and wishes that are related to each other in the same entry.
