Sideshow Collectables’ Site Crashes After Baby Yoda Pre-Orders

It’s no secret that Star Wars fans are going absolutely crazy over the little green baby (The Child) from The Mandalorian. It would seem that Baby Yoda fever has now caused high-end figure company Sideshow Collectables’ website to completely crash. You just can’t escape this little guy’s cuteness.

Baby Yoda

The news that the company was opening pre-orders for a Baby Yoda figure was barely announced before fans flocked to the website causing it to crash.

The Child figure will cost around $350 and will ship in October 2020. It will be a 1:1 scale figure that stands 16.5″ tall and will have a black display base. The collectable will be highly detailed as to accurately represent every cute little part of the baby alien. Not only does the figure look amazing, judging from the pictures available, but it would also make a great addition to any Mandalorian cosplay.

Baby Yoda appeared in Disney+’s recent Star Wars TV series, The Mandalorian, and sees the titular Mandalorian tasked with looking after the cute little green bundle. The TV series hasn’t revealed much about who exactly this little fellow is and, with Yoda’s race not having a specific name, the baby was quickly dubbed Baby Yoda by fans.

Since his reveal, fans have been clamouring to get hold of merchandise. With Disney seemingly releasing the first round of Baby Yoda items well after his reveal, fans are looking elsewhere.

If you have $350 to spare, Sideshow Collectables’ Baby Yoda (The Child) figure might be for you.
