Oppo Watch is the Apple Watch Android fans have been waiting for

If there’s one thing Oppo hasn’t pinched from its American rival, it’s the way in which you navigate the watch’s software. The wearable comes with two physical buttons on its side to control things rather than a moving crown. Of course, the Chinese timepiece will be able to feed you with a constant stream of notifications, but health and fitness features also play a big part. The Oppo Watch comes with a heart-rate monitor and is water-resistant up to 50 metres.

The Oppo Watch runs a customised version of Google’s Android, meaning you’re getting a full-fat smartwatch operating system here, not like Huawei’s diluted software that runs on its Huawei Watch GT and GT 2.

Of course, it wouldn’t be an Oppo device without a huge emphasis on charging speed. The Chinese tech giant is bringing its super-fast VOOC charging system to the Oppo Watch – this will allow it to refill from empty to 46 percent in just 15-minutes and 75-minutes to get to 100 percent.

Battery life itself is also supposedly pretty good with Oppo claiming you’ll be able to get 40 hours of regular use on a single charge. If you use the timepiece in its power-saving mode – that still delivers notifications – you’ll be able to achieve up to 21 days.
