The big question on everyone’s mind is how exactly the MCU will incorporate the X-Men so the mutants can finally fight alongside the Avengers and the other members of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. It’s not a question of if it will happen, but more like when it will happen. Now the MCU is just looking for the perfect entry point for mutants and actually, there’s one great solution to that problem. And his name is Apocalypse!

The mutant known as En Sabah Nur has been around for thousands of years dating back to Ancient Egypt, and his backstory is one of the most interesting out of any villain in Marvel Comics. But so far, the live action version of the character played by Oscar Isaac in X-Men: Apocalypse was a complete disaster. It’s time for the MCU to reboot the character and make Apocalypse the villain he’s supposed to be, and that includes incorporating all the important parts of his backstory including his run-in with Celestial tech.

The Celestials themselves are poised to have a big presence in the upcoming Eternals movie and because Celestials and Apocalypse are so intrinsically linked, now is the perfect time to reintroduce the character in a brand new and exciting way. It would be a great way to flesh out the story of the Celestials, while also allowing the MCU to make this transition into the next few phases run smoothly.
