The entire MCU calendar is pushed back as BLACK WIDOW is rescheduled

Disney, like every studio, is making major changes to its movie release schedule. Chief among them is Black Widow which is landing a rescheduled premiere – and pushing back the entire MCU calendar as a result.

Originally slated for a May release date, Disney is pushing back Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow debut to November 6 of this year. If you’re savvy on your MCU releases, you’ll recognize that as the once Eternals slot. That movie, starring buff Kumail Nanjiani along with a slew of other celebs, is moved back to February 12, 2021, taking Shang-Chi’s spot – and now we’ve set off an entire chain reaction, so we’ll just list the entire updated MCU calendar below.

• Black Widow – November 6, 2020
• Eternals – February 12, 2021
• Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Rings – May 7, 2021
• Doctor Strange 2 – November 5, 2021
• Thor: Love and Thunder – February 18, 2022
• Black Panther 2 – May 6, 2022 (unchanged)
• Captain Marvel 2 – July 8, 2022 (pushed back two weeks)

Also landing new dates from Disney are Mulan (July 24), Jungle Cruise (July 30, 2021) and Artemis Fowl, which is actually skipping its theatrical run entirely and heading straight to Disney+.

Per THR, Disney insiders are still uncertain about these new dates. If the situation around COVID-19 continues to escalate, even these premiers are subject to change.
