French M2M and IoT service provider Actility is looking to add even more value to its IoT connectivity platform ThingPark Wireless by partnering with Swiss provider Akenza.

ThingPark Wireless is Actility’s multi-technology IoT connectivity platform for public and private Low Power Wide Area Networks (LPWAN). The collaboration would now allow Actility clients to natively integrate their accounts into the Akenza Core and completely manage their IoT device fleet and connectivity in one easy-to-use agnostic enterprise IoT system, which helps companies and cities build real-time connected solutions.

With the help of Akenza Core, organisations get direct access to ThingPark Wireless to connect IoT devices anywhere and collecting data to cloud applications on any scale through LoRaWAN networks. The solution already manages more than 30,000 public network antennas, including KPN, Orange, Proximus or Swisscom networks in Europe, a major cable network operator in the US, CAT, NTT in APAC and many others in over 50 countries.

Last month, Microsoft collaborated with Cisco to integrate its Azure cloud with the latter’s IoT platform in order to create the Cisco Edge to Microsoft Azure IoT Hub, a solution that will enable seamless connectivity and streamlined edge data flow into Azure IoT. According to Tony Shakib, IoT business acceleration leader at Microsoft Azure, the integration “provides the necessary software, hardware, and cloud services that businesses need to rapidly launch IoT initiatives and quickly realise business value.

In the same week, NEC announced its collaboration with Siemens to provide AI monitoring and analysis.
