Review: Star Trek Discovery Michael Burnham Titan

For today’s review, I take a look at one of the Convention Exclusive Titans released back in 2018 by Titan Entertainment. I recently was able to add it to my collection, as I believe it was first released at San Diego Comic Con that year, and little to no stock made it to New York Comic Con. The first release by Titan from the Star Trek Discovery line of Titans, here is the 3″ version of Michael Burnham.

In the TV Series, exclusive to CBS All Access, Michael Burnham is played by the talented Sonequa Martin-Green. In the series, the former First Officer, now Science Officer, aboard the USS Discovery. She is not only the first black woman to appear as the main lead in a Star Trek series, but also the first non-Captain to be the main lead. The character, and the show, has broken quite a few barriers, has revitalized the Star Trek franchise, and has become very popular for CBS All Access, which is a subscription based streaming service.

I really like this sculpt and look of Burnham. I am a big fan of this new chapter in the Star Trek franchise (set roughly a decade before the adventures of The Original Series crew with Captain Kirk), and am happy that I have this piece in my collection. I do wish that we will see more of the characters in Titan form in the future. There are also a couple of Funko Pop! Vinyls coming this year of Burnham and USS Discovery’s First Officer, Saru. Exciting!
