Supermassive Releases Its Witch-Filled Trailer For Dark Pictures: Little Hope

Supermassive Games, the team behind 2015’s Until Dawn, released the trailer for the next game in their anthology, The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope.

The follow up to Man of Medan, the first game in the anthology, is set in the 1600s in the titular town of, you guessed it, Little Hope.

The trailer opens with The Curator, which in the games serves at the narrator, recounting some of the town’s history, which seems to be centred around the witch trials that took place during the days of early America.

The trailer shows brief flashes of various characters, including some teens and what could be a witch or two.

Dark Pictures: Little Hope

The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope will focus on these witch trials and the horror that surrounded them as self-styled witch-hunters went around killing so-called witches.

The trailer seems to hint at something eviler than the suspected witches, something lurking in the little town.

The game will once again let players control the outcome of the story at every turn, for better or worse. Whether the game will include the Shared Story Mode from Man of Medan is yet to be confirmed, but we are guessing that it will make a return.

The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope is the second game in the planned eight-part series of games which the developer is planning to develop and is set to release on the PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 later this year.
