That Rumoured HD Remaster Of The Mass Effect Trilogy Might Be Coming To Switch

Mass Effect - Push Square

Yesterday, the EA CEO Andrew Wilson stated how the company was bringing “multiple” titles to the Nintendo Switch in 2020. While the games he was referring to are believed to be Burnout Paradise Remastered and the latest version of FIFA, there are a few others that might be on the way.

One of these is apparently the “HD remaster” of the original Mass Effect trilogy. This information comes from Venture Beat’s Jeff Grubb. The same guy who lifted the lid on the most recent Nintendo presentations thinks a Super Mario 35th anniversary collection is on the way to the Switch and has previously spoken about this year’s June Direct being cancelled.

At the very end of his article about EA releasing 14 new titles between now and next March, he shares a cryptic-like message about the rumoured “HD remaster” of Mass Effect potentially being released on the Switch at a later date. Here it is in full:

Oh, and that HD remaster of an EA game is the Mass Effect Trilogy. Just don’t expect that to also launch on Switch — at least not at first.

Does Jeff know something we don’t? We’re guessing we’ll find out at the upcoming all-digital ‘EA Play Live‘ stream event, taking place on 11th June. Would you like to see the Mass Effect series return to a Nintendo platform? Leave a comment down below.
