The Witches | Official Trailer | HBOMax

From the mind of Roald Dahl and as reimagined by acclaimed filmmaker Robert Zemeckis, The Witches is a wickedly fun adventure as a young boy stumbles onto a secret coven of child-hating witches as they plot to turn the world’s children into mice. A fresh Halloween classic for this generation, in a story that celebrates courage, teamwork, and unlikely heroes, offering a completely distinct kids proposition with a quirky, delightfully twisted tone in classic Dahl style.

Streaming October 22 only on HBOMax.

  1. This version will never be able to touch the original.

  2. What in the holy hell was the point of remaking this, and what seems like quite poorly?

  3. Calling 2 things now….
1: I bet they don't include the story of the girl in the painting like the original.

2: this movie has a African American child as the main protagonist, which isn't a bad thing by itself but,I noticed in the main shot almost every witch Is a white woman with the exception of the one African American woman off to the left.
$100 bucks says the African American woman is "the good witch"
Which is gonna push the "see, all white people are bad" mentality.

I hope I'm wrong about the 2nd point.
A side note:the CGI looks so horrible.
Why cant they just use practical effects?

  4. Yikes, this looks terrible. Why the hell does the cg look so damn bad???

  5. Loved the original. Not gonna like this shits going to be good.

  6. Original is so much better.

  7. wow , first Jumanji, then the little mermaid , now Witches SMFH way to drag all the classics thru the mud absolutely GARBAGE

  8. It's kinda pathetic how Disney keeps remaking old classics. Disney can't create anything new. Everything Disney touches dies.

  9. Booooooooooooooooooo y’all gonna big budget CGI classic stories to DEATH.

  10. Stop remaking old classics, make new classics. The remakes are always trash anyways.

  20. Looks interesting, I don’t get the logic of putting everything on networks people will have to pay separate fees to watch. I’m not getting Disney+ or apple plus or anything else.
