Machine Learning Could Make Prosthetics Cheaper



Researchers in Japan hope that a new 3D printed myoelectric prosthetic system will reduce the cost of currently available prosthetics. Their system uses machine learning that needs to be trained to distinguish the motions of each individual finger to learn how to perform more complex gestures, where multiple fingers move simultaneously.
