Star Wars Episode 4 Would Have Been Completely Different With Qui-Gon Jinn
A few videos back we asked the question, what if Qui-Gon survived in “Star Wars: A Phantom Menace”? Who would have thought that one question and the survival of one man would mean an entirely new timeline, and change everything we know about Star Wars. Qui-Gon’s survival meant that Qui-Gon became the father Anakin needed. He trained Anakin away from the Jedi resulting in Anakin becoming a stronger and better man than the version we know and love. Anakin was able to save his mother from the Tusken Raiders without putting the men, woman, and children six feet into the ground. Anakin didn’t become Darth Vader! But like all good things, they must come to an end.
Eventually, Qui-Gon fell in battle causing Anakin to spiral. The dark side within him began to outweigh the light because the Sith took everything from him. His hate grew to the point that he was blinded by it and attacked newly out Darth Sidious. This is all to Palpatine’s plan. Because of Skywalker’s action, Order 66 was executed resulting in the end of the Jedi Order.
Jumping into “Star Wars: A New Hope” there are plenty of questions. What Jedi, if any, survived Order 66? With Leia never being born, who is leading the rebellion? Where is Anakin Skywalker now, and will he be able to overcome his immense guilt? These questions and more will be answered in today’s CBR video so if you’re ready, buckle up because we’re jumping to lightspeed into a brand new What-If!
