April 10th of 2019 marks the 4th anniversary of Marvel’s Daredevil making its debut on Netflix, redefining the power that superheroes on the small screen could have, and being a groundbreaking game-changer for the MCU.
After 3 seasons applauded by critics and audiences alike, and a season of the character crossing over with the others of the Netflix MCU corner in The Defenders, Daredevil was unfortunately cancelled by the streaming service.
My love for this show and its character iterations has pushed me towards making my dream of seeing a fourth season for it into a reality – even though it is through stop motion animation.
This video encapsulates the behind the scenes process of making a stop motion film after not having animated in over a year, and using a camera and laptop for the first time to make it possible – along with showing the final result of my work in full form: a proof of concept film/pre vis test for a potential Daredevil Season 4 Stop Motion Animated Series by yours truly.
Huge shout outs to the cast for helping me make this possible on such short notice!
