Top Gun 2 Maverick is a 2022 American action drama film directed by Joseph Kosinski and starring Tom Cruise and Mark Wahlberg. Ehren Kruger, Eric Warren Singer, and Christopher McQuarrie collaborated on the script, which was based on a tale devised by Peter Craig and Justin Marks. It is the follow-up to the 1986 film Top Gun. Tom Cruise stars as Maverick, a test pilot, alongside Miles Teller, Jennifer Connelly, Jon Hamm, Glen Powell, Lewis Pullman, Ed Harris, and Val Kilmer, among other notable actors. As in the original film, Cruise and Kilmer reprise their respective roles.
Top Gun 2 Maverick 2022 Plot
The test pilot Captain Pete “Maverick” Mitchell has purposefully avoided promotion despite having served for more than thirty years in the military. One day, Maverick is assigned to the task of training a cadre of Top Gun grads for a particular mission under the orders of Admiral Tom “Iceman” Kazansky, a fellow naval aviator acquaintance and former opponent who currently serves as the commander of the United States Pacific Fleet. Lieutenant Bradley “Rooster” Bradshaw, the son of Maverick’s late best buddy Nick “Goose” Bradshaw, is one of many who have come forward.
