Johnny Knoxville is an American actor, comedian, film producer, screenwriter, and stunt performer. He is best known as the co-creator and star of the MTV television series Jackass, which aired for three seasons from 2000–2002. A film based on the series, Jackass: The Movie, was released in 2002; a sequel followed in 2006. He has also appeared in several films, including Men in Black II (2002), The Dukes of Hazzard (2005), The Ringer (2005), The Last Stand (2013) and Skiptrace (2016).

Ever since he first burst onto the scene with Jackass in the early 2000s, Johnny Knoxville has been one of the most popular and controversial figures in entertainment. Whether he’s getting electrocuted, setting himself on fire, or being launched out of a cannon, Knoxville always knows how to get a reaction.

Born and raised in Tennessee, Knoxville got his start as a writer for magazines like Big Brother and People before turning his attention to acting and stunts. In addition to Jackass, he’s also starred in movies like Men in Black II, The Dukes of Hazzard, and Bad Grandpa.

Now 49 years old, Johnny Knoxville shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon.
