About The Stormtrooper

George Lucas’s creation of the Star Wars franchise features a fictional type of soldier known as a stormtrooper. Stormtroopers are the shock soldiers and space marines of the Galactic Empire. They were first seen in Star Wars: A New Hope (1977), and they were led by Emperor Palpatine and his officers, most notably Darth Vader and Grand Moff Tarkin, throughout the original film trilogy (1977–1983).

In the Star Wars prequel trilogy (1999–2005), it is revealed that their ancestors were the clone troopers of the Galactic Republic. These clones were modelled after the bounty hunter Jango Fett and were employed by Supreme Chancellor Palpatine to “win” the Clone Wars and later to seize control of the government and eradicate the Jedi. Despite this, later stormtroopers are established as recruits; during the time of the original trilogy, only a few stormtroopers are clones, and the 501st Legion, often known as “Vader’s Fist,” is the only known legion to still retain a large number of clones.

The enhanced stormtroopers serve the First Order under the guidance of Supreme Leader Snoke and his commanders, the most notable of which are Kylo Ren, General Hux, and Captain Phasma. The sequel trilogy takes place from 2015 to 2019, and it is set in the year 2019. Sith Troopers are an enhanced variation of the First Order stormtroopers that feature crimson armour and serve the Sith Eternal, which is commanded by a resurrected Emperor Palpatine. They are introduced in the third and final instalment of the Star Wars sequel trilogy, titled The Rise of Skywalker (2019).

The Star Wars universe does not provide any information regarding the order of battle for the Stormtrooper Corps. Stormtroopers are able to be quickly deployed by the Imperial Navy to respond to states of public upheaval or rebellion, operate as a planetary garrison, and police areas within the Galactic Empire.

In addition, stormtroopers are able to act as a planetary garrison. They are depicted in collective units of varied organisational sizes, ranging from squads to legions, and the armour and training of some of them has been changed for use in particular settings and operations.

About Star Wars

Star Wars is an American epic space-opera multimedia franchise that was created by George Lucas. It all started with the film with the same name, which was released in 1977, and it quickly became a phenomenon in popular culture all over the world. The franchise has been developed into a number of films as well as other forms of media, including as television series, video games, novels, comic books, themed areas, and attractions at theme parks. Together, these forms of media comprise an expansive fictional universe.  It was projected to be worth a total of $70 billion in the year 2020, and it is currently the fifth-highest grossing media franchise in the history of the world.

The first film in the series, titled Star Wars and released in 1977 with the retroactive subtitle Episode IV: A New Hope, was followed by the sequels Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back (1980) and Episode VI: Return of the Jedi (1983). Together, these three films are considered to be the original Star Wars trilogy. Later on, Lucas directed three films that were part of a prequel trilogy for the Star Wars film franchise. These films were Episode I: The Phantom Menace (1999), Episode II: Attack of the Clones (2002), and Episode III: Revenge of the Sith (2005). Following the sale of his production firm to Disney in 2012, George Lucas gave up his rights of the Star Wars franchise. This resulted in the production of a sequel trilogy, which included the movies Episode VII: The Force Awakens (2015), Episode VIII: The Last Jedi (2017), and Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker (2019).

The first two instalments of the “Skywalker Saga” took home Oscars, despite being the only ones of the nine movies in the franchise to be nominated. It is now the second-highest grossing film franchise of all time thanks to the addition of the live-action “anthology” films Rogue One (2016) and Solo (2018), which brought in a combined total of over $10 billion at the worldwide box office.
