UNTOLD Life After Love Island – Channel 4 Documentaries
Tens of thousands of people submit applications to go on Love Island every year because they are intrigued by the prospect of gaining not only a romantic partner but also recognition. Will Njobvu, a reality TV podcaster and broadcaster, analyses the lives of former show contestants after they have left the competition.
After the cameras are turned off, will the former contestants actually be able to launch a glittering career as a celebrity influencer as promised by an entire business that has developed specifically for the purpose of helping them do so?
In this documentary, Will visits former contestants and learns about their lives after the show to find out who has been successful and who has returned to a more “normal” lifestyle. Featuring interviews with former winners Paige Turley and Finn Tapp, as well as Jessica Hayes, as well as talks with more current competitors, such as Coco Lodge, who are still working hard to get their foot in the door of the influencer world.
We also hear from some of the most popular Love Islanders from the past five series, including as Wes Nelson, Shaughna Phillips, Priscilla Anyabu, and Eve and Jess Gale, as well as industry professionals who shed light on some of the shocking disclosures of life after the limelight. This season of Love Island airs on ITV2 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
