Who wouldn’t want a dreamy Hollywood movie wedding? More couples are opting for an easier approach when it comes to wedding planning, something that’s stress-free which is opting for wedding-venue hotels. It’s easy to see why they tend to offer easy packages that include almost everything you need. Whether it’s a wedding breakfast, a sweet, heartfelt ceremony, all the way down to the reception and room for guests, it just takes away a lot of stress from the couple and anyone else who is planning this event. But with that said, there are some things that you still need to keep in mind when it comes to all of this. You need to pick out the perfect hotel as this is going to be the center of how your wedding goes. So, here’s how you’re able to make that choice!

First Off, Location

When it comes to a wedding venue-hotel, the location is going to be everything. Do you want a wedding in the big city? Are you wanting somewhere intimate, like in nature? Maybe you want some hints of nautical influence on it? Whatever it is that you’re after, you need to think about it. The location is going to not only tie in with the theme of your wedding, but it’s also going to be a major aspect of what the couple likes, as well as the guest. It needs to be in a convenient enough location for all of the guests too.

How Many People Can It Accommodate?

It is also helpful to have an idea of how many guests you will be inviting when looking at venues. You don’t want to book a location that only accommodates 50 people when you have 500 on your guest list. It is also helpful to have a clear vision of what you’re looking for style-wise; are you dreaming of a classic church wedding or more of a modern restaurant feel? Ask for photos of real weddings at the venue to get a sense of what it will look like when you’re there. Remember, it’s not just about accommodating the ceremony, but it’s also about accommodating other aspects too, such as the number of people staying in hotel rooms.

What are the Packages?

Most hotels have packages that include the reception, ceremony, and lodging for out-of-town guests. It doesn’t immediately mean that all of them do, but it’s usually the standard.  Ask your potential venue about their offerings before you visit. You should also make sure that the venue has a backup space in case of rain. You can decorate the backup space to match your wedding vision, or you can rent a tent or use other outdoor covers.

You should also ask about hidden fees, like corkage and external vendor charges, and power drop fees. Knowing these costs in advance can save you a lot of stress and money. Also, be sure to ask the hotel about their wedding planners and any other services they offer. Overall, when it comes to packages, make sure you ask plenty of questions; this is your wedding, so you want to make it special.
