Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Bruce Mathers III and who was born on October 17, 1972, is an American rapper, songwriter, and record producer. His professional name was formerly stylized as EMIN’M. He is credited with popularising hip hop in middle America and is widely regarded as one of the finest rappers of all time, according to a number of music critics. Many people believe that Eminem is responsible for breaking down racial barriers in the popular music industry by virtue of his widespread popularity and critically praised body of work. Although much of his contentious work from the late 1990s and early 2000s made him highly unpopular, he became a representation of the popular anguish of the American underclass, and he has been identified as an influence by numerous artists working in a variety of genres.

After the release of his debut studio album, Infinite, in 1996, and the extended play Slim Shady EP, in 1997, Eminem obtained a contract with Dr. Dre’s Aftermath Entertainment. As a result, he acquired widespread success with the release of The Slim Shady LP in 1999. Both of his subsequent albums, The Marshall Mathers LP (2000) and The Eminem Show (2002), were critically acclaimed and commercially successful around the world, earning nominations for the Grammy Award for Album of the Year in both cases. Following the release of his subsequent album, Encore (2004), in 2004, Eminem went on a hiatus in 2005, primarily due to a dependency on prescription drugs. After an absence of four years, he made his comeback in the music industry with the release of Relapse in 2009, followed by the release of Recovery the following year. Recovery was the album that sold the most copies all over the world in 2010, making it Eminem’s second album, after The Eminem Show in 2002, to be the album that sold the most copies all over the world in a given year. In the years that followed, he was successful with the publication of several albums in the United States, including Music to Be Murdered By (2013), Revival (2017), Kamikaze (2018), and The Marshall Mathers LP 2 (2013). (2020).

Eminem made his debut in the film industry with the musical drama film 8 Mile (2002), in which he played a fictionalised version of himself. His track “Lose Yourself,” which was featured on the film’s soundtrack, won the Academy Award for Best Original Song, making him the first hip hop artist in history to win the award.

Cameo roles have been written for Eminem in the movies The Wash (2001), Funny People (2009), and The Interview (2014), as well as in the television series Entourage (2010). He has also established other businesses, such as Shady Records, which was a partnership with manager Paul Rosenberg. This business was instrumental in the beginning stages of the careers of a number of musicians, including 50 Cent, Yelawolf, and Obie Trice, amongst others. In addition to that, he launched his very own channel on Sirius XM Radio called Shade 45. Eminem began his musical career as a member of the hip hop trio D12 before launching his solo career. He is also famous for his work with another rapper from Detroit, Royce da 5’9, under the moniker Bad Meets Evil. These two artists have worked together on a number of projects.

Snoop Dogg, born  on October 20, 1971, is an American rapper, songwriter, media personality, actor, and entrepreneur. He was formerly known as Snoop Doggy Dogg and for a short time as Snoop Lion. It was in 1992 when he made his first appearance on Dr. Dre’s debut solo song, “Deep Cover,” and later on Dr. Dre’s debut solo album, The Chronic, that he began to get widespread recognition. Since then, Broadus has racked up more than 23 million album sales in the United States and over 35 million album sales globally.

Doggystyle, Broadus’s first solo album, was released by Death Row Records in November 1993. It was produced by Dr. Dre, and it debuted at number one on the popular albums chart, the Billboard 200, as well as on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. Doggystyle was certified quadruple platinum in 1994 and spawned multiple successful songs, including “What’s My Name?” and “Gin & Juice.” The album sold a total of 800,000 copies in its first week of release. In 1994, Death Row Records distributed a soundtrack for the short film Murder Was the Case, featuring Snoop, which was composed by Broadus and performed by Snoop. In 1996, his second studio album, titled Tha Doggfather, likewise made its debut at number one on both charts. The lead song from that album was titled “Snoop’s Upside Ya Head.” The album was later awarded the status of double-platinum the following year.

In January of 1998, Broadus parted ways with Death Row Records and signed a contract with No Limit Records, where he went on to release three albums featuring Snoop Dogg: Da Game Is to Be Sold, Not to Be Told (1998), No Limit Top Dogg (1999), and Tha Last Meal (2000). In addition to that, he coaches a high school football team and a kids football league. It was in September of 2009 when EMI made the decision to engage him as the chairman of the newly revived Priority Records.
