Johnny Depp made his acting debut in the horror film A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984), before going on to star in the television series 21 Jump Street (1987–1990) as a teen superstar. Depp primarily acted in independent films throughout the 1990s, frequently portraying odd characters. Burton also directed the superhero films Batman (1989) and Batman Returns (1992), as well as the science fiction film Planet of the Apes (2001), the fantasy drama Big Fish (2003), the musical adventure film Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005), and the fantasy films Alice in Wonderland (2010) and Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children (2010). Jonathan Ross OBE is an English broadcaster, film critic, comedian, actor, writer, and producer. He was born on November 17, 1960. During the 2000s, he hosted the BBC One chat show Friday Night with Jonathan Ross, aired his own BBC Radio 2 show from 1999 to 2010, and worked as a film reviewer and presenter for the Film programme. Ross began hosting The Jonathan Ross Show on ITV after leaving the BBC in 2011. Ross began his television career as a programme researcher before making his debut as a television presenter in 1987 on Channel 4’s The Last Resort with Jonathan Ross. He had various radio and television roles during the next decade, several of them through his own production business, Channel X. He sold his stake in Channel X in 1995 and went to work for the BBC. Ross took over as host of the Film programme from Barry Norman in 1999, and he also started hosting his own radio show. Two years later, he became the host of Friday Night with Jonathan Ross.
