Lucifer: 10 Differences Between The Series and The DC Comics

Lucifer series is finally getting the attention it deserves! Did you know that Lucifer is based on a comic book called The Sandman?

Yep, it is not an original story. And some aspects of it don’t match at all! In this video, we dive deep into the differences between the series and the original novel. Ready for a shocker? In the comics, Lucifer and Chloe were never a couple! Moreover, Chloe Decker (Lauren German) was not part of the original story at all.

The character was added into the script as Lucifer’s love interest whereas in the comics Lucifer Morningstar expresses no feelings toward any particular being around him. He lives an adventurous life and settling down is not part of his plan.

On top of that, In the DC Comics demon Mazikeen (in the series portrayed by Lesley Ann Brandt) is more than a friend to Lucifer! Also, Lucifer looks nothing like his comics version! You will be surprised to know that the writer of the original story Neil Gaiman wanted Mischievous Devil to look like a well-known musician David Bowie!

Although, not going to lie РTom Ellis didn’t disappoint! Another one of Lucifer details we had to mention is that Amenadiel had a completely different fate in the comics. Want to know what happens to this character?
