X-Men #12 is the second prelude chapter of X of Swords, and the first entry from writer Jonathan Hickman. The issue is almost entirely a never before seen history of what really happened when Apocalypse and his first horsemen stood against demon invaders of Earth, and Krakoa and Arakko were sundered in two.
Today I’ll answer:
+ Who is Apocalypse’s wife? What does her life on Arakko tell us about Apocalypse’s secret history?
+ What do we learn about the Classified leader of the Swordbearers, and what X-Men characters might be behind the mask?
+ Is X of Swords going to live up to the hype?
Writer: Jonathan Hickman

Apocalypse catches up the Summoner on the events of Excalibur #12, then requests the story of what really happened with Arakko. In retelling the history of Krakoa and Arakko’s separation, a history we only saw the briefest glimpse of in House of X, Summoner shows that history depends on who’s doing the telling. Apocalypse is seen by some as a hero who prevented an invasion, and by others as a betrayar who gave up his own family to preserve himself.
