Everyone knows Clint Barton is one of the founding members of the Avengers in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but did you know that actor Jeremy Renner couldn’t stand his very first appearance in the franchise? We’ll reveal what extreme action this actor chose to take behind the scenes in order to try to get out of the role.
Of course, everyone in the MCU has had their character history changed from the pages of comic books, but we’ll talk about the extreme differences between the Hawkeye you’ve read about and the one you’ve seen on the big screen. This includes his relationship with Natasha Romanoff and why we might just see him show up in the standalone Black Widow movie. We’ll also talk about Ronin and reveal some of the information that didn’t quite make it into Avengers: Endgame, including why the infamous Secret Invasion storyline made some fans so sure he was going to secretly turn out to be a Skrull. There was another person to take on his old mantle and that’s his protege Kate Bishop, who may be appearing on the Disney+ streaming service sooner than you think.
What do you think about the way his origin and character were translated from printed pages to the big screen? Do you think way too much was left out or do you enjoy the new interpretation?
