Back in 2013, the world was met with the next big anime, literally. Attack on Titan, or Shingeki no Kyojin if you’re annoying, is an anime that needs no introduction. Since its release, AoT has had a huge impact on anime as a whole. The aesthetic and the characters resonated with critics and fans alike and soon anime cons were exploding with Attack on Titan cosplays of both scout members and Titans alike. However, the show has a deep history and for a show about humanity barely surviving against a nightmarish legion of giant humanoid monsters. You would be surprised at just how much goes on in this show compared to similar anime.

Despite being seven years old, there are only three seasons, with the fourth season coming in Fall 2020. There is a lot to cover in these three seasons plus a lot to cover before the events of episode 1 season one. Again, while there have only been three seasons, the amount of content is staggering. There is certainly a lot to go over. For example, the history of this world and the events before episode 1. Just in season 1 alone, we get the attack on wall Maria and the subsequent saving when Eren needs to plug the wall with a giant rock. The scouting mission as well as the discovery of the female titan and finding out Eren is not the only human who can become a titan. And that is just in season 1!
