The future is in her hands.
Ms. Marvel, an Original series from Marvel Studios, starts streaming June 8 on Disney+.

Ms. Marvel is an upcoming American television miniseries based on the Marvel Comics character Kamala Khan / Ms. Marvel, produced by Bisha K. Ali for the Disney+ streaming service. It is set to be the sixth television series in Marvel Studios’ Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), and will follow in the footsteps of the franchise’s films. Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah lead the directorial team, with Ali serving as the head writer.

Aramis Knight, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, and Matt Lintz co-star alongside Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan / Ms. Marvel. In August of this year, Ali’s involvement in the series was announced. El Arbi and Fallah, Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, and Meera Menon were hired as the series’ directors in September 2020. Filming began in early November 2020 in Atlanta, Georgia, and New Jersey, and ended in May 2021 in Thailand.

Ms. Marvel is set to air on June 8, 2022, and will be a six-episode series. It will be part of the MCU’s fourth phase. The Marvels (2023), in which Vellani will reprise her role as Khan with other cast members from the series, will act as a prequel to the series.

Feige claimed during the series’ formal introduction at D23 that Ms. Marvel would cross over to the MCU films when she was introduced in the series, which he reiterated in November 2019. Brie Larson, who plays Ms. Marvel in Captain Marvel, previously indicated interest in adding her in the sequel, and Vellani was confirmed to appear in the Captain Marvel sequel, The Marvels (2023), in December 2020. Ms. Marvel will launch The Marvels, according to Feige, who disclosed this in February 2021. In The Marvels, Shaikh, Shroff, and Kapur reprise their respective roles as members of Khan’s family.

Kamala Khan is a superhero that appears in Marvel Comics’ American comic books. Khan is Marvel’s first Muslim character to get her own comic book, created by editors Sana Amanat and Stephen Wacker, writer G. Willow Wilson, and artists Adrian Alphona and Jamie McKelvie. Khan initially appeared in Captain Marvel #14 (August 2013), and then went on to star in Ms. Marvel, a solo series that premiered in February 2014.

Khan is a teenage Pakistani American from Jersey City, New Jersey, who discovers she has Inhuman DNA in the aftermath of the “Inhumanity” event and takes over the role of Ms. Marvel from her idol Carol Danvers after Danvers becomes Captain Marvel in the Marvel Universe. The news by Marvel that a Muslim character will star in a comic book received a lot of attention, and Ms. Marvel won the Hugo Award for best visual tale in 2015.

In the Marvel Cinematic Universe Disney+ series Ms. Marvel (2022) and the film The Marvels, Iman Vellani will play Khan (2023). Sandra Saad provided the character’s voice in Marvel’s Avengers, a 2020 action-adventure video game.

Khan’s most well-known ability is elongation, which allows her to stretch her limbs, torso, and neck to incredible lengths. Her other abilities include the capacity to change her size, similar to Ant- Man’s, allowing her to shrink and increase herself. She can lift up to 75 tonnes when she expands. Khan has even used this power to make her body as paper-thin.  Khan has a healing feature that allows her to heal from bullet wounds, albeit she will become exhausted if she heals too much. She has the ability to shapeshift into other individuals and even inanimate objects, albeit she rarely does so.
