David O. Russell is set to direct, produce, and write the screenplay for his upcoming period-mystery comedy picture titled Amsterdam. This will be the first picture that Russell has directed since 2015’s Joy, and it will be shot in Los Angeles between January and March of 2021. A large ensemble cast, led by Christian Bale, Margot Robbie, and John David Washington, also features Chris Rock, Anya Taylor-Joy, Zoe Saldana, Mike Myers, Michael Shannon, Timothy Olyphant, Andrea Riseborough, Taylor Swift, Matthias Schoenaerts, Alessandro Nivola, and Rami Malek. Robert De Niro also appears in the film.
