Chainsaw Man Manga Series – Main Trailer via Shonen Jump

 

Tatsuki Fujimoto is the author and illustrator of the Chainsaw Man manga series, which was published in Japan. Between the months of December 2018 and December 2020, the first part of it was published in the young adult manga magazine Weekly Shnen Jump by Shueisha. The publication of the second part of it began in the online magazine Shnen Jump+ published by Shueisha in the month of July 2022. As of October 2022, its chapters were gathered and published in a total of 12 tankbon volumes.

In the anime and manga series Chainsaw Man, the protagonist, Denji, is a young man who lives in abject poverty and makes a deal with a canine-like demon named Pochita, which merges his body with Pochita’s and gives him the ability to change different portions of his body into chainsaws. In the end, Denji becomes a member of the Public Safety Devil Hunters, which is a branch of the government agency that is dedicated to combating demons whenever they pose a threat to the globe.

Viz Media holds the licence in English for the manga’s distribution in North America, which includes both print and digital formats. Additionally, Shueisha publishes the manga on the online platform Manga Plus. In October of 2022, the first episode of the anime television series adaption made by MAPPA was shown.

 

By October of the year 2022, there were more than 16 million copies of the manga in circulation. It was awarded the 66th Shogakukan Manga Award in the shnen category in 2021, as well as the Harvey Award for Best Manga in both 2021 and 2022.

The critics have generally had positive things to say about Chainsaw Man. They have praised the film’s storytelling as well as its characters, and they have drawn particular attention to the horrific sequences that occur within the context of the film.
