Baby Groot Guardians Galaxy Vol 2 trailer #GotGVol2 – The Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 trailer and the stand out star is Baby Groot! The trailer showcases some powerful action sequences, humour and tons of Baby Groot! Starlord flying through lots of baddie ships in a space battle scene look brilliant. The trailer lets us see all the main protagonists again, Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), Gamora (Zoe Saldana), Drax the Destroyer (Dave Bautista), Rocket Raccoon (Bradley Cooper), and even Baby Groot (Vin Diesel).

The best bit about Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 1 was the banter between the teammates and how quickly the camaraderie formed. And its safe to say the banter is back in Vol 2. The sequence with Mantis, Drax and Starlord is hilarious! Does anyone else think Mantis looks just a little creepy?

Various interviews with those involved with the GOTGvol2 production have suggested some themes of the upcoming film, and its all quite interesting. We don’t know much about the plot, other than the fact that it will see Star-Lord reunited with his long lost father and we will finally find out how he is. We do know that James Gunn’s script will cover important subjects related to family, where you come from, and how that affects who you are. Wait is this not a superhero movie? As long as there is enough action we aer good with covering such themes! Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 won’t use real time to show how much time has passed since the last movie, and instead will start approximately two months after the end of the 2014 Vol 1.

Will Mantis join the team? Not sure. We do know that Yondu will join up and it will be interesting to see how Yondu reacts to StarLords dad as we know the have history. The monster at the beginning of the trailer looks a little lame and it will be cool to se see who the main villian is as there seems to have been very little said about the bad guy [s]. With GOTG vol 1 we knew well in advance that Ronan would be the enemy.

As Kurt Russell is named as Ego the Living Planet in the GOTGvol2 cast list perhaps hes got a major role to play?
