How to Draw Manga Eyes - Video Tutorial - Watch & Learn

Manga Eyes.
Hey everyone! Here’s another “How to” video, about drawing a pair of manga eyes. #draw #drawmanga #howtodraw #anime

It was a challenge, and took about 1 hour.

I used: -Pentel P207 0.7mm mechanical pencil, with HB leads.
-Prismacolor pencils.
-Sharpie Pen.

Manga is a form of Japanese comics that has become increasingly popular all over the world. It is known for its unique style, and one of the most recognizable features of manga characters are their eyes. Eyes are often large and expressive with intricate details, making them a challenging but fun element to draw.

To start drawing manga eyes, it’s essential to understand the basic structure. The upper eyelid should be curved with a slight taper towards the outer corner, while the lower lid can be straight or slightly curved upwards. The iris should be drawn as a circle with a smaller circle within it representing the pupil. Add highlights to create depth and dimension.

Next, experiment with different eye shapes to give your character personality and emotion. Rounder eyes can convey innocence or surprise while angled or narrow eyes can indicate determination or anger.
